Equip weapon Knights of the Old Replublic??

I've just started playing this game and I've come to the first combat
training. Now, how the heck can I equip a weapon so that I can use it. Every
time I try to click on one of the target droids it tells me that I need to
equip a weapon. When I go to the equip menu it tells me that the blaster is
equipped?? How can I use it on the droids??

I'm playing the PC version.

Any help is much appreciated!

go to that link, although you have to register (it's free, just takes a
few seconds to go through the steps.) and then you can post. and ask any
question you want... we are quite helpful over there...
btw how to equip
hit the letter u
you will now be looking at a window that shows what you are currently
equiped with.
then click on your left hand.. it will then show what items you can put
in you hand... you'll know if you've done it right, because only weapons
will be showing... now just double click on the weapon you want, and it
will now show what items are equiped on your body and you will have your
new weapon in your hand
