[KotOR] Idle question about Stowaway subquest

Recently got around to replaying the game to see the Dark Side ending;
don't particularly want to go though it again just find out what
happens if...

[Spoiler, protection, just in case.]

Last Chance.

...You wait until after Dantooine is destroyed to start or resolve the
stowaway subquest.

(i.e. If you don't even bother to check on the food stores, or if you
discover Sasha, but don't return her to Dantooine or otherwise dispose
of her by then.)

Good question! I have no idea of the answer...

Since the stowaway issue gets thrown in your face fairly hard and
constantly from the moment Sasha sneaks on board, it might not be possible
to ignore it for that long. But it's a funny question.

You don't have to play all the way through again to see the darkside ending.
Which ending you get is totally dependent on how you deal with Bastila in
the temple. If you have a save from before that confrontation, you can
easily switch endings. You can play the whole game as goody two-shoes, and
then totally succumb to the darkside at the last minute. Or the opposite,
for that matter. That's the point.

By the way, the darkside ending starts with a really appallingly horrible
act, and gets worse! I can't imagine anyone WANTING to play the game that
way. It has some sick-and-twisted appeal (especially if you have high
force-persuade to use on a certain furbag), but it's really nasty. *

Yeah, I played the game a dozen times and never went dark. I came to really
like my party and became pretty attached to them during the course of so
many hours. Going dark side meant betraying the trust they had placed in me.

One time I went ahead and made a dark change in my relationship vis-a-vis
Bastila just to see the dialog that followed, but then reloaded the saved
game before the real EVIL started to occur.

I also never went dark late in the game as I was usually maxed out on
goodness and had attained the player bonuses that came with it. I didn't
want to give up the extra 3 points of strength a Guardian got, for example.

It's trivially easy to ignore the stowaway problem; just don't bother
looking at the food stores. Big Z talks to you about it once to
initiate things, but after that...

Here's how it went.

I got the game last november; played through once just to get the story,
then went through it again to max out subquests; was light side both
times. Heard from online acquaintance that much of the dark side
path dialogue was pretty good, but didn't want to retrace things yet
again so soon after finishing it twice.

Eventually uninstalled to make room for newer games.

Fast foward to a couple of weeks ago; reinstalled and patched, played
through as a right bastard to see new/different dialogue. Some was
interesting, and doing the Korriban quests last as an unrepentant renewed
Darth Revan was kinda fun. Viewed the dark side ending cutscenes, not
all that impresed; reminded me of the dark side ending to Jedi Knight
with the same not-really-satisfied feeling.

Then played through (light side) again to check on even more dialogue
choices I'd heard about. That brings me to the present; I've just
gone through it twice in relatively rapid succession; don't really
feel like playing yet again. Closest savegame I have that would be
practical would be just before departing Taris, which means working my
way through Dantooine and then digging up 3 star maps before I can find
out the answer to this one idle question.

SNIP

I have played the game at least ten times, each time light side. I am STILL
uncovering new dialog trees, etc., especially as I replay certain areas with
different party members in tow.

Probably the funniest one of the bunch to have along is HK-47.

What has really got to me here is just how much variety was crammed into
this game. It really does change quite a bit as I play as different
character classes, or follow different paths.

The most challenging replay was as a scoundrel/counselor that didn't level
up after level 5 until becoming a Jedi. I became an absolute fiend regarding
the use of land mines to stay alive when I was playing as such a physically
weak character -- especially when I had to face enemies alone (Brejic or
Marl).

Afterwards I played the game again as an absolute moose of a
Soldier/Guardian. No finesse -- just hit things. I was several points
stronger than a wookie and knocked Malek around like a rag doll with dual
light-sabers.
